The Cambria Historical Society throws open the doors of the restored 1881 Santa Rosa Schoolhouse Museum and Educational Center, marking 145 years since the school first opened.
Come one, come all to celebrate a real piece of Cambria’s history. After extensive restoration, the historic one-room schoolhouse at 2800 Main Street is ready to welcome the public, and this grand opening doubles as its 145th anniversary celebration. Tour the restored building, meet family members of the original attendees, and see the care that went into bringing it back.
The afternoon runs from 12 to 4 p.m. with live music, food, and a red, white, and blue community celebration. You are even invited to ring the school bell. It is a warm, all-ages afternoon, and all are welcome.
