Working With Wood Opening Reception at Cambria Center for the Arts

Join the Cambria Center for the Arts for the opening reception of Working With Wood, a month-long exhibit featuring four local artists working with wood from very different angles.

The reception runs from 4:30 to 6:00 PM on Saturday, June 6, with complimentary snacks and wine available for purchase.

The exhibit features Steven Beck, Brooks Lawrence, Jim Rogers, and Bill White, each bringing their own perspective on the medium. From furniture to kitchen utility pieces to pure creative expression, the show celebrates wood’s deep connection to Cambria, a town with roots in Monterey pine lumbering and a present-day landscape shaped by the driftwood huts along Moonstone Beach.

The reception is the best time to meet the artists, hear about the work, and start the show off with the kind of community energy CCA does well. The exhibit runs through Sunday, June 28.
