SUMMARY:Cambria Fire Department Open House
DESCRIPTION:The Cambria Fire Department is opening its doors to the community for a day of hands-on learning\, demonstrations\, and conversation with the people who keep the town safe.\nThe open house runs from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday\, May 9\, at Station 57 on Burton Drive. \nThis is a great chance for families\, longtime locals\, and curious visitors to meet Cambria’s firefighters and first responders\, ask questions\, and see how the department operates day to day. Several partner organizations will be on site sharing emergency preparedness resources\, which is especially valuable heading into California’s warmer\, drier months. \nStation tours run every 20 minutes throughout the event. At noon\, the crew will perform a vehicle extrication demonstration using the Jaws of Life\, a memorable look at the kind of rescue work that does not happen often but matters when it does. Free food and drinks will be available while supplies last\, and “Go Bags” will be distributed by community members on hand to talk through household emergency planning. \nThe event is free\, family-friendly\, and held outdoors at the station. No registration required. Just show up\, look around\, and say hello.
