DESCRIPTION:Discover the creative power of sculpture during the Animal Sculpture and Totem Retreat\, a four-day immersive art experience held at Camp Ocean Pines in Cambria. \nLed by artist Emilie Parker\, this retreat invites participants to explore the connection between creativity\, storytelling\, and animal symbolism through hands-on sculpting. Artists of all skill levels are welcome\, and no prior experience is required. \nParticipants will learn foundational sculpting techniques while creating their own animal-inspired totem sculptures using clay and glazing materials provided during the workshop. DESCRIPTION:Spend a creative day on the Cambria coast exploring watercolor landscape painting during Watercolor Wonders: Hills & Valleys\, a full-day workshop led by local artist and instructor Jay Stieler. \nHosted at the scenic grounds of Camp Ocean Pines\, this immersive class invites participants to capture the beauty of rolling hills\, peaceful valleys\, and coastal light through watercolor techniques designed for both beginners and experienced painters. \nThroughout the day\, instructor Jay Stieler will guide participants through a series of techniques used to create expressive landscapes\, including: \n\nLayering watercolor washes to build gentle hills and slopes\nMixing natural greens and earth tones for realistic landscapes\nUsing light and shadow to shape terrain\nCreating depth and perspective in watercolor compositions\n\nStieler is the founder of Coast Art House and a well-known Central Coast watercolor artist who specializes in land and seascapes.
