The evening includes a class at the Learning Shed\, a Q&A session\, and a chance to explore the meadow and creek using Sonobat TM acoustical monitoring units to identify bat species in real time. \nGuests can enjoy hot chocolate and baked goods while learning\, then head out into the evening environment for a unique\, hands-on wildlife experience. This is a rare opportunity to see and hear bats in their natural habitat while connecting with Cambria’s conservation community. \nDress warmly and bring your own chair and flashlight. DESCRIPTION:Carnegie Hall comes to Cambria. \nThe public is invited to enjoy a world-class classical music performance by internationally acclaimed pianist Katya Grineva on May 3rd at 2 PM at the Community Presbyterian Church of Cambria. \nA celebrated Steinway Artist\, Katya has performed a record 23 solo concerts at Carnegie Hall\, more than any other female pianist in the hall’s history. Known for her deeply expressive and lyrical style\, her playing has been described by The New York Times as “liquid… dreamlike.” \nThis special concert will benefit Katya Concerts for Kids\, Inc. (KCK)\, a nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing the transformative power of classical music to children in underserved communities. Through live performances\, interactive experiences\, and educational outreach\, the organization introduces young audiences\, many for the very first time\, to the beauty\, inspiration\, and emotional richness of classical music. \nNew York-based Katya will be visiting friends in Cambria and has agreed to perform a concert here.
