SUMMARY:🎶 North Coast: Gateway to Big Sur Festival
DESCRIPTION:🌊 A full day of music\, makers\, and coastal views at the gateway to Big Sur. \nJust north of Cambria along one of the most iconic stretches of Highway 1\, the Ragged Point Gateway to Big Sur Festival brings together live music\, local artistry\, and coastal flavors in a setting that’s hard to match anywhere on the Central Coast. \nHeld at Ragged Point Inn\, this all-day celebration marks the connection between Cambria and Big Sur\, offering a relaxed\, come-as-you-are atmosphere where the views are just as much a part of the experience as the music. \n🎶 Live music throughout the day features a lineup of Central Coast bands\, filling the cliffs above the Pacific with a mix of blues\, rock\, and laid-back coastal sound. \n🎨 Local vendors and artists will be set up throughout the property\, showcasing handmade goods\, jewelry\, Big Sur jade\, and one-of-a-kind pieces that reflect the creative spirit of the region. \n🍗 Food and drink highlights include:\nBBQ and casual fare\nFresh-baked desserts\, including the well-known California lime pie\nLocal offerings and drinks to enjoy throughout the afternoon \nSet high above the ocean\, this is one of those rare events where you’ll find yourself moving between music\, food\, and views without ever needing to rush. There’s space to wander\, settle in\, and take it all in at your own pace. \nLocated about 20 minutes north of Cambria\, it’s an easy and worthwhile addition to a North Coast weekend\, especially if you’re planning to explore Big Sur or spend time along Highway 1. \nParking is limited and fills up quickly\, so arriving early is recommended. Bringing lawn chairs is encouraged if you want to settle in for the day. \nYou can explore more nearby events and plan your weekend along the coast on the HelloCambria event calendar.

SUMMARY:🎶 If I Only Had a Song! — Cambria Community Chorale
DESCRIPTION:We will be presenting this spring concert on May 10 and May 17 at 2:00 p.m. at the Community Presbyterian Church in Cambria\, 2250 Yorkshire Drive\, and we truly hope you will join us. \nThis year’s program is one that we are especially excited to share. It brings together a wonderful variety of music\, from inspiring sacred works and beloved folk melodies to spirited spirituals and familiar favorites from film and stage. \nWe are proud to open the concert with “The Star-Spangled Banner\,” arranged by our music director\, Ron Perry. Ron has put together a beautiful and thoughtful selection of music that includes “Kyrie\,” “Hark I Hear the Harps Eternal\,” “Wild Mountain Thyme\,” “Elijah Rock\,” “Prayer of the Children\,” and “The Storm Is Passing Over.” \nThere are also lighter and nostalgic moments in the program\, including a medley from Disney’s The Little Mermaid and the much-loved “If I Only Had a Brain\,” which ties so beautifully into the concert theme. \nFor many of us\, music is more than notes on a page. It is memory\, comfort\, celebration\, and hope. Our goal with this concert is to offer an afternoon that lifts the spirit and brings our community together through the joy of song. \nThe Cambria Community Chorale has long been a cherished part of life here on the Central Coast\, and we are honored to continue sharing music with the people of Cambria and our surrounding communities. A portion of ticket sales helps support the Cambria Youth Music Fund. \nSpend an afternoon with one of Cambria’s most established musical groups\, in a setting that reflects the heart of the local community. Whether you’re a longtime supporter or attending for the first time\, this is a performance built around connection\, familiarity\, and shared experience. \nYou can explore more local performances and gatherings on the HelloCambria event calendar\, or discover additional ways to spend your time in town through our Cambria local guide.
