The California Sculptors Symposium returns to Cambria for its annual week-long gathering of sculptors, artists, and creative explorers at Camp Ocean Pines.
This immersive program features hands-on workshops, demonstrations, and collaborative learning experiences led by professional sculptors working in a wide variety of materials including stone, wood, clay, metal, and mixed media.
Participants of all experience levels are welcome. The symposium is designed to inspire creativity, refine techniques, and provide a supportive environment where artists can exchange ideas and deepen their craft.
2026 workshop highlights include:
- Figurative Clay with Alexander S. Peter focusing on gesture and anatomical structure
- Inflatable Sculpture with Amy Brown exploring creative forms using fabric and plastics
- Stone Carving with Brian Barreto teaching efficient carving techniques and creative problem solving
Artists return year after year to learn new techniques, collaborate with fellow creators, and recharge their artistic energy along California’s beautiful Central Coast.
Several participation options are available including week-long packages, day workshops, and work-study opportunities.
