Discover the Magic of the Cambria Film Festival 2026

Lights, camera, Cambria!

The Cambria Film Festival returns February 4 through February 8, 2026, welcoming film lovers back for its ninth year of celebrating independent cinema from around the world. Set against the creative, coastal charm of Cambria, California, this five day festival blends powerful storytelling, intimate venues, and a strong sense of community.

Whether you are a dedicated film buff or simply looking for a cozy winter getaway with a creative spark, the Cambria Film Festival offers a memorable way to experience both cinema and the town itself.

A Thoughtfully Curated Celebration of Independent Film

Founded in 2018 by Alan Fraser and Nancy Green, the Cambria Film Festival began as a local labor of love. Over the years, it has grown into one of the Central Coast’s most anticipated cultural events, drawing filmmakers, artists, and audiences from across the globe.

After expanding its programming in 2025 to include documentaries, dramas, thrillers, and sci fi and horror, the festival continues that broader genre mix in 2026. This year’s lineup includes over 90 competition short and feature films, carefully curated to thrill, challenge, and inspire audiences.

Films will screen across three venues at Cambria Center for the Arts, located at 1350 Main Street, Cambria. The festival also welcomes the return of Movies at Moonstone Cellars, where independent film meets local wine culture in a relaxed, intimate setting.

The festival thrives thanks to the support of volunteers, filmmakers, sponsors, and community partners. Venues feel intimate and welcoming, conversations are genuine, and the festival remains deeply connected to the town that hosts it.

The 2026 festival is proudly sponsored by James and Elaine Levin Anderson.

Make It a Movie Weekend in Cambria

Visiting from out of town. The festival pairs beautifully with a winter getaway on the Central Coast.

Between screenings, stroll the Moonstone Beach Boardwalk, enjoy a wine tasting, browse local galleries, or catch the sunset at Fiscalini Ranch Preserve. Cambria’s slower pace and coastal beauty make it easy to build a memorable weekend around the festival.
