This guided wildflower walk along the Fiscalini Ranch Preserve Bluff Trail offers a close look at one of the most vibrant times of year on the Central Coast.
With the combination of winter rains and early spring warmth, the Ranch comes alive with blooms. Along the trail, you’ll find pink seaside daisies, golden fiddleheads, and the unmistakable bursts of yellow and orange from coastal California poppies.
The walk follows a scenic two-mile route along a mostly level, accessible trail with sweeping ocean views. Along the way, keep an eye out for harbor seals, sea otters, herons, and egrets, all part of the ecosystem that makes this stretch of coastline so unique.
Led by docent Joanne Freemire, this walk is a great introduction to the region’s native plants and an ideal lead-in to the Cambria Wildflower Show later in the month.
Registration is required. Meeting location details will be shared with all registrants in advance.
Before you go:
Wear comfortable shoes. There are no restroom facilities on the preserve. Children are welcome with adult supervision. No dogs. Rain cancels.
This walk is part of the Spring Docent Walk series at Fiscalini Ranch Preserve
